As a teenager, I understand that you might want to treat yourself, so I thought of simple, sweet recipes for anyone to make. I chose a strawberry banana smoothie because of its popularity and also because fruits provide a lot of nutrients and energy to keep you up and running everyday.
Strawberry Banana Smoothie Recipe
The Ingredients
- 1 cup healthy milk (almond, coconut, hemp, raw milk) of your choice or kefir
- 1 fresh or frozen medium banana
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
Add-ons
- 1-2 cups green leafy vegetable (spinach, kale, lettuce, or beet greens)
- 1 tablespoon cacao, maca, coconut oil, and/or bee pollen
- 1 serving of your preferred protein powder
Preparation
Put all the ingredients into your high speed blender and blend for 30-45 seconds or until the desired consistency is reached.
